• Absolutely in my top 10!! This story is absolutely a page turner and a nail biter. Connecting to the characters has never been so easy. You fall in love with them, you laugh with them and cry with them. Growing up in the area this story takes place in, I could see myself there with this group. It's got everything you desire in a horror story. This book and I stayed up late with the lights on for a few nights. By: Breanna

 

Review Heading: Yes, you should read this one!

• Reader Review : "Just Breathe" is not for readers who are repelled by crude, coarse language, but you should read this anyway. The story is strong in and of itself and does not need the excessive language to keep a reader engaged. It is a very good read and it is always a pleasure to find a book whose story settings are familiar and even loved by the reader. I felt I was a part of this book because of the settings. The characters are multi-faceted and, as most young people, are very connected to each other. Even when they try to separate their lives they cannot change the past. Isn't that so true to life? That life-changing history, along with the bizarre events they all experience, keeps that connection strong AND keeps the reader engaged. The back and forth cadence between past and present sure kept this reader on her toes. In all, a very good read with an interesting and eerie story line and characters that evoke a reader's emotions. I am not sure how you get a tender love story between innocent children, unspeakable evil from a devastated mother and unbelievable hope and light into one small book but Mr. Campbell has done so. • Reader Review : I began Mrs. Fields' Journal at 7pm. I finished it at 10:15pm the same night. I couldn't put it down! The story was gripping. The characters were so very interesting, and I was enraptured by the story. I loved the fact that such a gruesome tale had a fantastic twist and melded into a great ghost story. I found myself get mad at the author for making the pregnant damsel smoke because of the evil but it was perfect to see how Mrs Fields showed atonement.
